Supporters of Former Council Chairman In Rivers State Set Secretariat Ablaze

Supporters of Engr Samuel Nwanosike, the immediate past Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State on Monday set the Secretariat ablaze.
Didactic Information Hut recalls that some Supporters of the former council Chairmen across the 23 LGAs in Rivers State had stormed the council Secretariats in protest to prevent the resumption of the newly sworn in Chairmen.

Recall that Gov Fubara during the swearing in ceremony had raised an alarm that his political opponents were mobilizing 20 persons per unit to protest at the Council Secretariats on Monday and prevent the new Chairmen from resuming.
Engr Nwanosike is a diehard supporter of the FCT Minister, who had served as former CTC Chairman, two term Chairman and wanted to continue to serve for six months as was handed over to them by the Martins Amaewhule led Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to Nyesom Wike.
Meanwhile, a similar arsonist attack was also reported in Eleme LGA.
