Hisbah Arrest Jigawa Commissioner Caught Committing Adultery In Kano’s Uncompleted Building

Officers of the Kano State Hisbah command have arrested Auwal Danladi Sankaraa, who is the Commissioner of Special Duties, in Jigawa State for allegedly committing adultery.

Didactic Information Hut gathered that Sankaraa was caught in an uncompleted building having sex with a woman identified as Tasleem Baba Nabegu, who is said to be married with two kids.

Hisbah Director General, Abba Sufi, who confirmed the arrest and detention of Sankaraa on Friday added that the accused would be charged to court, on Monday.

“Yes, it is true we have arrested Auwal Danladi Sankara, the Jigawa Commissioner, with a married woman in an uncompleted building that belongs to him.

“Unknown to him, we were tracking him based on reports we received against him,” the Hisbah Director General said.

Didactic Information reports that the arrest followed a complaint by Nasiru Bulama, the woman’s husband, who accused the commissioner of engaging in an affair with his wife.

“Nasiru Bulama filed the complaint with the Kano State Police Command, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Hisbah Board, alleging Sankara’s involvement in illicit sexual activities with his wife,” the official added.

He added: “We have been having problems with Sankara because he is operating illicit drugs Centers in the names of hotels with prostitution and drug addiction activities”.

Meanwhile, the embattled Jigawa Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, has denied allegations of having illicit affairs with a married woman as alleged by officials of Kano state Hisbah Board.

He said: “My attention has been drawn to a recent media report alleging that I, Auwal D. Sankara, Commissioner for Special Duties in the Jigawa State Government, have been arrested by the Kano Hisbah Command on charges of having an affair with a married woman.

“I wish to categorically state that these allegations are entirely false, baseless, and malicious, aimed at tarnishing my reputation.

“I urge the general public to disregard this fabricated story, which has been concocted by certain political elements to damage my character and integrity.

“As a married man, I have the utmost respect for the institution of marriage and would never engage in actions that violate its sanctity.

“I remain committed to upholding the values and principles that I stand for.

“I am taking this matter seriously and will pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading this false information and attempting to cause harm to my person.”
