Gov Namadi Suspends Commissioner Caught Committing Adultery In Kano

Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi has suspended the Special Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Sankara, pending the conclusion of an investigation into allegations by the Kano State Hisbah.
According to a statement by Bala Ibrahim, secretary to the Jigawa state government, released Saturday, the suspension is to ensure transparency and conduct a thorough investigation to maintain the integrity of the state administration.
Didactic Information Hut recalls that the Kano State Hisbah Commission arrested Sankara with a married woman in an unfinished building.
Abba Sufi, the commission’s secretary general, confirmed that Sankara was arrested with a married woman on Friday evening.
In a statement Friday evening, the commissioner said that Sankara denied the allegations and said they were false, unfounded, and malicious.
According to the commissioner, the arrest followed a lawsuit filed by the woman’s husband, Nasir Brama, against the commissioner for having an affair with his wife, Tasleem Baba, the mother of his two children.
“Nasiru Bulama filed the complaint with the Kano State Police Command, the Department of State Services, and the Hisbah Board, alleging Sankara’s involvement in illicit sexual activities with his wife,” he added.
But Sankara claimed the accusations were false and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image.
