Dele Farotimi To Remain In Prison Until December 20 As Court Denies Him Bail
Didactic Information Hut reports that a magistrate court has refused bail for human rights Lawyer Dele Farotimi and placed him under remand in jail.
His case has been postponed until December 20, 2024, and involves a 16-count accusation of defamation against Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Afe Babalola.
On Tuesday, December 10, at around 9:49 AM, Farotimi arrived at the court grounds accompanied by Nigeria Correctional Service and Rapid Response Squad personnel.
The decision to remand him until the next hearing marked the conclusion of the court proceedings, which attracted a great deal of public interest.
