US Election: Trump Meets President Biden At the White House
Following an earlier invitation by President Joe Biden, the US President-elect, Donald Trump was on Wednesday at the White House.
Trump who had left the White House four years ago walked into the White House triumphantly after his victory in the recent election.
Didactic Information Hut recalls that President Biden had invited Trump for the traditional visit to express his readiness for a peaceful transfer of power in January, 2025.
Biden, a Democrat who has been running for re-election for some time, tried to defeat Trump, a Republican, before ending his campaign on May 7 after stumbling badly in the debate.
Biden quickly endorsed the replacement of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Kamala, however, could not defeat Trump in the polls, as the former president won by a wide margin.
When Biden defeated Trump in 2020, Trump did not offer a White House invitation to meet him before the inauguration, and then left Washington 2 hours before Biden was sworn in at the steps of the U.S. Capitol.
