Tanker Fully Loaded With Fuel Explodes In Ondo
A tanker loaded with fuel has exploded in Ore, the capital of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the town’s Soka area.
According to eyewitnesses, the tanker veered off the road and fell into a nearby ditch. The tanker immediately burst into flames and heavy smoke engulfed the area, reducing visibility and causing heavy traffic.
Samuel Ibitoye, sector director of the Ondo State Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), confirmed the accident and said there were no fatalities as a result of the accident.
