President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has bowed to pressure from Members of the House of Representatives by conferring the nation’s second highest national honour, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
The House of Representatives has rejected the plan by President Bola Tinubu to confer Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) national honour on its Speaker Abbas Tajudeen.
President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday announced the conferment of national Honours on Leaders of the National Assembly and the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kekere-Ekun.
