Shock As Lawmaker Mistakenly Shoots Himself Dead
Gurpreet Gogi, a Lawmaker of India’s parliament, accidentally committed gun suicide.
Early Saturday morning, Gulf News reported that Gogi was found dead of a gunshot wound late Friday night.
Punjab police officials confirmed the death and said it was an accident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jaskaran Singh Teja told the media, “According to family members, he accidentally shot himself and sustained a bullet wound in the head.
Gurpreet Gogi was pronounced dead at the hospital and his body has been laid to rest in the mortuary of DMC Hospital”.

The cause of death will be known once the autopsy report is available,” he said.
”According to Gulf News, further investigations are underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident.Gogi, who joined the AAP in 2022, had been in the news after defeating Bharat Bhushan Ashu, a two-time Congressman in the Ludhiana Assembly election.
In 2019, Mississippi Congressional candidate Carl Robinson shot and killed his wife, LaToya Thompson, who committed suicide after being served with divorce papers.
