Senate Screens And Confirms 7 Ministerial Nominees
The Senate has screened and confirmed the nomination of seven persons nominated by President Bola Tinubu to serve as Ministers.
Didactic Information Hut reports that those screened and confirmed are Mrs Bianca Ojukwu – Minsiter of State, Foreign Affairs, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade and Development; Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; Muhammadu Dingyadi – Minister of Labour and Employment; Idi Muktar Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development; Yusuf Ata – Minister of State, Housing, and Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Minister of State, Education.
The nominees got confirmed after about five hours of screening by the Senate.
Earlier the Senate, following a motion moved by the leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, suspended its rule to admit the Special Adviser to the President on Senate matters, Basheer Lado, to bring the nominees into the plenary.
Didactic Information Hut recalls that the Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio had read President Bola Tinubu’s letter nominating the new ministers last week Thursday.
