Saudi Arabia Confirmed As Host of 2034 World Cup
It has been confirmed that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup of football.
The 2030 World Cup hosts, which were chosen from six nations and will be held on three continents to commemorate the tournament’s 100th anniversary, were also confirmed.
The only bidder in the 2034 competition was Saudi Arabia. Following an online meeting of the International Federation of Association Football’s (FIFA) 211 members, its host status was confirmed on Wednesday.
During the virtual meeting chaired by FIFA president Gianni Infantino, the members clapped in agreement, confirming the uncontested bids.
Saudi Arabia is hosting the 2027 Asian Cup, 2029 Asian Winter Games, and 2034 Asian Games in addition to the World Cup. Additionally, it hopes to host more significant events in the future, such as the Women’s World Cup.
