Peter Obi Congratulates Trump As 47th American President

Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, Mr. Peter Obi on Monday congratulated Donald Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America.

In a post on his official X handle, Obi said Trump’s victory is a testament to the resilience of democracy and the enduring will of the American people.

“On behalf of my family and the Obidients Movement, I extend my warmest congratulations to President Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump  on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America.”

Obi, who is the first Nigerian politician to congratulate Trump on the platform, further expressed hope that Trump’s presidency will foster global stability strengthened international partnerships

“It is my hope that your presidency will be marked by policies that foster global stability, economic growth, and strengthened international partnerships, particularly between the United States and Africa.”
