Paul Pogba’s Four-year Drug Ban Reduced To 18 months
International Football Star, Paul Pogba’s four year ban for doping has been reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Didactic Information Hut recalls that the former France international tested positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), a banned substance that increases testosterone levels, following his team’s victory over Udinese in August 2023. He later tested positive to a second test which led to his original four-year ban.
According to a report by Daily Mail, the 31-year-old Juventus midfielder, will resume training with Juventus in January 2025 and return to competitive action in March following the reduction in his suspension duration.
Also, the initial €5,000 fine has been overturned. And with his reduced suspension, he may now have the opportunity to revive his career in Europe.
Didactic Information Hut reports that despite this current setback, Pogba’s current contract with Juventus will run until 2026, and at 31, he will still have the potential to compete at the highest level in Europe.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is yet to officially speak on the new development. However, He recently shared a photo of his feet in football boots on social media which his fans have taken to be a clear indication of his anticipated return to the pitch now that his four-year drug ban was been greatly reduced.
