Mother of Jigawa State Governor Is Dead
Mother of Jigawa State Governor, Maryam Namadi is dead. Gov Umar Namadi announced the passing of his mother on Wednesday.
The announcement was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hamisu Gumel, on Wednesday in Dutse.
Didactic Information Hut reports that Maryam died in the early hours of Wednesday, Dec. 25, and was buried according to the Islamic rites in Kafinhausa town at about 4:00 p.m.
Many residents of the state attended the funeral prayer and condoled with the governor over the death.
Didactic Information Hut gathered that Gov Namadi was on a working visit to China at the time of his mother’s death.
