JUST IN: EFCC Finally Arrests Former Gov Yahaya Bello
Officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have finally arrested a former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
This comes after several ealier failed attempts which led the EFCC into declaring Alhaji Bello wanted.
Didactic Information Hut reports that Yahaya Bello who many alleged have been enjoying the protection of his Successor against arrest, reportedly surrendered himself to the EFCC on Tuesday.
The media office of Yahaya Bello confirmed that the former governor went to the office with his lawyers on Tuesday morning, after the Supreme Court judgment which dismissed states’ case on the constitutionality of the EFCC and anti-graft agency.
Yahaya Bello reportedly drove himself to the office of the EFCC with his lawyers in a black hilux.
Yahaya Bello is alleged to have stolen funds belonging to Kogi State amounting to N80.2Billion while in office as governor.
