JAMB Reschedules 2025 UTME Registration
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to Monday, February 3, 2025, from the previous date of Friday, January 31, 2025.
This rescheduling of the start of registration was revealed in a statement released Friday via JAMB’s official X-page.
According to the statement, the change was necessary so that JAMB could make essential adjustments to the registration template. These updates are in response to the recent suspension of law programs at certain universities, as communicated to the Board by the Council on Legal Education.
In addition, the discovery that some computer-based testing (CBT) centers were using deceptive practices to obtain accreditation warranted further scrutiny and such centers were disapproved.”
The changes are necessary so that the Board can implement essential adjustments to the registration template.”
These adjustments were submitted to the Board by the Council on Legal Education and take into account the recent suspension of certain law programs at certain universities.
In addition, the discovery that some computer-based testing (CBT) centers were using sham facilities to obtain accreditation prompted further scrutiny and the need for remediation by disapproving such centers.
The Board recognizes the confusion caused to examinees and other interested parties and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused.”
The added time will be used to ensure that all necessary changes are made to ensure a smooth registration process.”
