France Deports Osama Bin Laden’s Son For Glorifying Terrorism

Omar Bin Laden, Son of al-Qaeda, Founder Osama bin Laden, has been deported from France and banned from returning to the country after posting comments on social media that glorified terrorism. French Interior Minister Bruno Retherault confirmed the deportation because of bin Laden’s 2023 comments.
Bin Laden lived with his British spouse in Normandy, France, where he worked as a landscape painter. French authorities noted a social media post commemorating the birthday of his father, who was killed by U.S. forces in 2011, but were unable to locate the exact post; in July 2023, police conducted a search for him in the Normandy village of Donfort.
Mr. Bin Laden, who had lived in the Orne region for several years as a British spouse, had posted comments on his social network in 2023 that glorified terrorism.
Mr. Bin Laden has yet to make any public statements regarding his deportation.
