Osita Chidoka, the former minister of aviation, has resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Chidoka revealed that he delivered his letter of resignation to his Anambra ward during his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program.
He claimed that his desire to focus on his non-profit organization, Athena Center, is what drove him to leave the PDP.

In order to reform Nigeria’s political system and promote evidence-based governance, Chidoka pledged to work with like-minded Nigerians.
“Earlier today, I sent a letter to my ward in Anambra State officially resigning from the PDP,” he said. I’m leaving the PDP, stepping away from politics for a while, and concentrating on the Athena Center.
Chidoka was the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
