Federal Government To Evacuate Nigerians As Israel And Iran Launch Missiles
The Federal Government of Nigeria has revealed its plan to evacuate Nigerian citizens from Lebanon over the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
Didactic Information Hut reports that this plan follows the launch of hundreds of missiles by Iran at Israel, in retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
The conflict between Israel and Iran heightened on Tuesday, prompting global concern. Meanwhile, Israel’s military spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, has vowed to take action in response to the “serious attack. Didactic Information Hut recalls that this latest escalation follows a previous attack in April, where Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles toward Israel.
Scared by the situation, the Presidency in a statement on Tuesday directed Nigerians living in Lebanon to contact the Nigerian mission for profiling, documentation, and eventual evacuation.
President Bola Tinubu’s special adviser on social media, Olusegun Dada announced the development in a tweet on Tuesday night.
