Edo Election: APC Wins Gov Obaseki’s LGA

The APC and her governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo has won the election in the local government of the incumbent Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki.

This follows the commencement of official results announcement by INEC officials.

Didactic Information Hut recalls that INEC had earlier taken a break with the APC leading in 10 LGAs and PDP in 6.

By the commencement of results announcement, the winner of the Edo State Governorship Election is expected to be announced today.

Political Analysts had earlier predicted a victory for the PDP in the remaining LGAs having won in these LGAs during the last governorship election.

Didactic Information Hut reports that apart from Gov Obaseki, the Labour Party candidate, Olumide Akpata is also from Oredo LGA.

The results for Oredo LGA:

APC: 30,780 

LP: 5,389 

PDP: 24,938 

Total valid votes: 62,703 

Rejected votes: 1,339 

Total votes cast: 64,042
