Music mogul Don Jazzy is adding a new beat to his empire: soccer. According to sources, Jazzy, founder of Mavin Records and a noted producer, is launching Supremos FC, a team that will compete in Lagosliga’s inaugural season.
The move represents a surprising crossover for the hitmaker, known for his work with talents such as D’banj, Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Ayrra Star.
According to insiders, Jazzy is looking to replicate his success in the music industry on the pitch and capitalize on his talent spotting and nurturing skills.
Supremos FC will play in Lagos Liga against other well-known teams, including those owned by high-tech entrepreneurs and business leaders. The league boasts a staggering N50 million prize money per match, the largest in Nigerian soccer history. Twelve teams will participate in this 2024 edition of the league.
