BREAKING: Appeal Court Frees Dr Femi Olaleye Accused of Rape
Dr Femi Olaleye, the managing director of the Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, had his rape conviction overturned by the Lagos Court of Appeal.
On Friday, the appellate court declared that the lower court’s decision was incorrect.
Olaleye was then released and found not guilty.
In October 2023, Olaleye was found guilty on two counts of defilement of a child and sexual assault by penetration by the Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Lagos.
Olaleye was given a life sentence by Justice Rahman Oshodi after his conviction.
