The delegation, organized under the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), was led by its chairman, Hope Uzodinma, who is also the Governor of Imo State.
Following the visit, Uzodinma addressed the media, stating that the purpose of their gathering was to convey warm Sallah greetings to Buhari and to congratulate him on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
“This visit holds significant meaning, reflecting our respect, loyalty, and ongoing appreciation for the statesmanship, leadership, and legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Uzodinma remarked, as reported by Ismaila Misilli, the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Gombe Government House.
He emphasized that the party remains united and dedicated to the principles of good governance that Buhari advocated during his presidency.
Additionally, the Imo governor noted that the visit served as an occasion to wish the former president well as he adjusts to his newly renovated home in Kaduna.
