Anambra 2025: APC Governorship Nomination Form To Cost ₦50 Million
The All Progressives Congress announced Monday that aspirants interested in the Anambra gubernatorial primaries will pay N50 million to procure nomination and expression of interest forms.
The ruling party also released its timetable for the primaries, which includes election activities and dates. The itinerary, signed by the party’s national organizing secretary, Suleiman Argungu, however, stipulates that female aspirants and interested disabled persons will procure only expression of interest forms for N10 million and nomination forms will be distributed free of charge.
On the other hand, young politicians between the ages of 25 and 40 who are interested in contesting the gubernatorial ticket will be encouraged to purchase the Expression of Interest at a 50% discount.
Argungu said all candidates contesting the gubernatorial ticket should come to the APC national headquarters at Wuse 2, Abuja, from February 10 to 25 to purchase and pick up their forms.
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Act, the All Progressives Congress hereby publishes the timetable and schedule of activities for the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The nomination, expression of interest, and delegate forms will be available for sale from February 10 to 25, with the last day for submission of forms being February 26; the screening of candidates will take place from March 7 to 8, and the announcement of the screening results will begin on March 10.
The delegates’ convention will be held on April 2, the preliminary election on April 5, the state assembly’s approval of the gubernatorial election results on April 6, and the submission of the list of nominated candidates to the NWC on April 8.
However, while the campaigning by the APC will begin on June 11, the final day/grand finale of the campaign will take place on November 6.
