Abia Village Deserted As Unknown Gunmen Invade, Kill Alleged Informant

People from Umuchima village in Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State have deserted their village following an invasion by Unknown Gunmen.

Didactic Information Hut reports that the Gunmen killed a male indigene of the community who was alleged to have provided information to the Army about their existence in the community.

This repraisal comes after the Nigerian Army had on Tuesday, announced that the troops of Joint Task Force, South East Operation, codenamed Operation Udo Ka destroyed a camp in Umuchima.

With the killing of the alleged informant, some people of the affected village fled their homes in fear and moved to nearby villages, promising to return as soon as peace is assured.

The fleeing villagers seen picking a few of their important property, said they were running so that they won’t become victims of circumstances.
