Asake Settles Long Rift With His Father

Fatai Odunsi, the father of renowned Nigerian musician Asake, has confirmed their reconciliation following prior disagreements.

Odunsi, who has been facing health challenges, had previously expressed disappointment over Asake’s lack of financial support despite his son’s rising fame.

In a video shared on Sunday by Mrlilgaga, he conveyed his pride in Asake and offered prayers for his well-being.

Speaking in Yoruba, Odunsi remarked, “I am proud of him,” while bestowing blessings upon his son.

He elaborated on the reasons for his earlier criticisms, mentioning that it had been a considerable time since they last met.

“His mother should inquire when he last visited me. That was what upset me, but we have resolved our issues. We are no longer in conflict,” he stated.

Odunsi also revealed that Asake is in the process of purchasing a new house for him, with real estate agents already searching for suitable properties.

“Asake has assured me that he will fulfill all my wishes. We have reconciled, and there are no more issues. They are currently looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has taken care of everything,” he added.

Additionally, Odunsi mentioned that Asake has committed to fully supporting his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.

“He has never denied his child, but he has now pledged to take complete responsibility for her,” he noted.

The elder also indicated that he would be visiting the hospital the next day, as Asake has provided him with all necessary support.
