Politicians Bicker On Social Media To Entertain Their Followers – Fayemi

Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi said politicians argue on social media to entertain their followers. Fayemi spoke at his 60th birthday thanksgiving service at St. Martin Catholic Church in Isan Ekiti on Sunday.
The former governor said that despite their political differences, Ekiti politicians are not enemies and are committed to the development of the state.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude and said his achievements were by the grace of God. He thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji Ekiti for continuing some of his policies.
Inka Oyebode, special adviser to the Ekiti governor on media affairs, quoted Fayemi as saying, “I am a product of grace and I have 60 many reasons to thank God.” ‘I also want to thank the governor for making me proud. Otherwise, things might not have worked out the way they did.
Fayemi downplayed the feud between politicians on social media. ‘That’s why, despite the difficulties we face in politics, we enjoy a very cordial relationship. So all these things you are reading on social media are for your amusement,” he added.
‘Many of you may be wondering why Governor Seguni Oni is here. When he celebrated his birthday, I spent the whole day with him. If Governor Fayose were here, I would have come here without hesitation. That is what Ekiti is all about.” The vision we have always had is a state that is not separated by political divides. We may belong to different political parties, but we belong to one. Our governor is carrying on that vision.”
Fayemi served as governor of Ekiti State from 2010 to 2014 and 2018 to 2022; he was minister of solid minerals development from 2015 to 2018.
