74-yr-old Man Arrested For Allegedly Defiling 13-yr-old Girl in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 74-year-old individual on charges of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, provided this information during a press briefing in Lagos on Saturday.
According to Hundeyin, the incident occurred on March 12 in the Iju area of the state.
He noted that the girl’s father reported the matter to the Iju Police Division on Thursday, March 13, at approximately 5:00 p.m.
“The accused allegedly assaulted his neighbor’s daughter within his residence.
“Following the report, a team of detectives was dispatched to the location.
“The girl was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical examination and treatment, while the suspect was promptly detained,” Hundeyin stated.
He added that the investigation is ongoing and indicated that the suspect would be brought to court once the inquiry is complete.
