41 Years Old Father Rapes 12-year-old daughter in Ogun
Officers of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested 41-year-old Ibrahim Aliu of Papa Olosun, Oja Odan, Yewa North Local Government Area of the state for the alleged rape of his 12-year-old daughter (name withheld).
Aliu was arrested on Thursday after his estranged wife, Temitope Egbebi, filed a complaint with the Oja Odan Divisional Police Station.
Egbebi alleged that Aliu had physical relations with the victim whenever she visited him on holidays.
Egbebi told police that he discovered this after taking the girl to the state hospital in Ilaro to be examined and treated for discharge from her pubic area.
The spokesman of the state police command, SP Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
Odutola said, “On Thursday at about 1410hrs one Egbebi Temitope “f” of Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan reported an immoral behaviour of her estranged husband, one Aliu Ibrahim “m” 41 years old of the same Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan. He was discovered to have been having unlawful carnal knowledge of their 12-year-old daughter.
“He defiled her since about two years ago each time the innocent girl went to spend the holiday with him.
“The sexual assault was discovered when she took the girl to the State Hospital, Ilaro for examination and treatment over untreated vaginal discharge that has been occurring in the little child’s reproductive organ for an unknown period.”
Odutola said that on account of the allegations, Aliu was arrested and he confessed to the crime during interrogation.
She further said that the suspect would soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for more investigation and possible prosecution.
