The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, which took place on Thursday, April 10.

In a statement released on Sunday by spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, JAMB informed candidates that they can access their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the phone number they registered with for the exam.

The board clarified that participation in the mock UTME is optional and is designed to evaluate its annual innovations while providing candidates with a chance to experience the computer-based testing environment prior to the main examination.

The statement indicated that initially, 200,115 candidates showed interest in participating; however, two candidates later withdrew, resulting in a total of 200,113 registered candidates.

Among those registered, 73,844 candidates were absent on the examination day, and 88 candidates did not pass the biometric verification process.

As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully completed the examination, and results for 115,735 of these candidates are now accessible. Furthermore, 10,446 results are still under processing and will be released shortly.

JAMB also recognized the delays experienced by some candidates during the mock exam and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused.

The board explained that these disruptions were attributed to the introduction of new features aimed at enhancing the upcoming main UTME.

JAMB encouraged candidates to continue supporting its initiatives, emphasizing that the mock exam is a crucial component of its strategy to improve the UTME process and better prepare candidates.

“The mock examination acts as a trial run for the UTME, enabling the Board to test new innovations while assisting candidates in becoming accustomed to the CBT environment.

“Over the years, this initiative has effectively met its goals, addressing identified shortcomings and providing candidates with essential experience for the main examination,” the statement concluded.
