Popular Nigerian gospel Singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has been invited to perform at the U.S. Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
Didactic Information Hut reports that the event which is non-political and faith-based will be hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner ahead of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance’s swearing-in ceremony.
The prayer breakfast will be held at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom, and will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Dr. Alveda King and Pastor Mario Bramnick.
Nathaniel Bassey who confirmed the invitation via Instagram said, “Let’s raise a sound in America. See you on January 20, 2025.”
Didactic Information Hut recalls that the Mayor of Albany, New York, had honored the Musician by declaring October 6 in 2024 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day.”
The event stresses the need for prayer and worship as a spiritual support for the U.S. government and presidency.
Trump had defeated Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party in the November election.
