Atiku Abubakar, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that Nigeria is unworthy of a leader like President Bola Tinubu.

Through his Media Aide, Paul Ibe, the former Vice President emphasized the importance of public awareness regarding the president’s past, asserting that Nigeria should not be led by someone with a questionable history such as Tinubu’s.

In a post on X, Ibe remarked: “It is time for the public to be informed about Tinubu’s history, including his forfeiture of funds related to alleged drug trafficking and his academic credentials from Chicago State University @ChicagoState.

“The most populous nation in the Black world does not merit a leader with a compromised background.

“Any concealed information must be brought to light. Nigerians and the global community have a right to know. Transparency is essential.”

Didactic Information Hut reported that the United States District Court for the District of Columbia has mandated the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to disclose information regarding Tinubu.

Judge Beryl Howell issued this order on Tuesday.

This decision came after a motion filed by Aaron Greenspan, an American seeking a review of a previous ruling. Howell stated that withholding the information from public access is “neither logical nor plausible.”

Greenspan accused the FBI of breaching the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by not releasing documents related to alleged federal investigations involving Tinubu and an individual named Abiodun Agbele within the required timeframe.

It was alleged that Tinubu forfeited $460,000 to the U.S. government in 1993, as authorities connected the funds to narcotics trafficking.

However, the judge ruled in favor of Greenspan.

In response, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, asserted that there is no new information to disclose, as the reports from Agent Moss of the FBI and the DEA have been publicly available for over 30 years.

Onanuga maintained that these reports do not implicate the Nigerian leader.

Posting on X, Onanuga wrote: “Journalists have sought the Presidency’s reaction to the ruling last Tuesday by a Washington DC judge ordering the US FBI and DEA to release reports connected with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Our response is as follows.

“There is nothing new to be revealed. The report by Agent Moss of the FBI and the DEA report have been in the public space for more than 30 years.

“The reports did not indict the Nigerian leader. The lawyers are examining the ruling.”
