Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been reappointed as the Director-General of the World Trade Organization for a second term by the General Council.
On September 1, 2025, her new four-year term will begin.
Okonjo-Iweala expressed gratitude to the 166 WTO members for their ongoing confidence and assistance in a statement released on Friday.
Dr Okonjo-Iweala had served twice as Minister in Nigeria and contributed immensely to the administrations under which hse served.
