It’s False, I Have No Plans To Join The APC – Gov Dauda
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has refuted claims that he intends to switch allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement posted on his verified Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, he reiterated his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting his identity as a ‘genuine member’ of the party. The statement declared: ‘I am Dauda Lawal, a genuine member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ignore the false information propagated by those seeking to divert us from the RESCUE MISSION we have undertaken.’
Governor Lawal stressed that his priority is to fulfill the mandate entrusted to him by the citizens of Zamfara State, rather than engage in political distractions. This clarification arises amidst rampant speculation fueled by reports suggesting that the Governor was contemplating a transition to the APC.
Zamfara is situated in Nigeria’s North-West region.
