Portable Confirms He’s A Mad Man Undergoing Treatment At Ogun Psychiatric Hospital
Controversial artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely recognized as Portable, has proclaimed himself a madman currently receiving treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Aro, Abeokuta.
This statement was made as he appealed to the Nigerian public and the Ogun State Government on Tuesday, following his being declared wanted by the state police command.
The zazoo-zeh performer was reportedly involved in an altercation with three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, specifically TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi. These officials were engaged in an enforcement operation at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, Ogun State.
The town planners reported that they encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar in the vicinity. Upon introducing themselves and requesting the approved building plan, the father informed them that his son was not present.
However, shortly thereafter, Portable, armed with a firearm and other weapons, led a group of nine thugs in a violent assault on the unarmed officials.
According to the police, “The enforcement officers sustained various injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command, which subsequently escalated the matter to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
“Nine accomplices were apprehended, but Portable fled the scene and has since gone into hiding.”
In response to the declaration, Portable took to Instagram on Tuesday, expressing his grievances and appealing to Nigerians and the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, alleging that he was set up due to wearing a vest with the fa.
