Nigeria’s Security and Economy Improved Significantly Under Me – Buhari

Former President Muhammadu Buhari praised the handling of the economy and security during his 2015-2023 administration.

The former Nigerian leader said Nigeria’s economy and security have improved markedly during his eight-year tenure.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari made the remarks Wednesday when he received members of the Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists at his home in Daura, Katsina State.

The former president recalled the security and economic challenges he inherited from the previous administration led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, former President Buhari said that the previous administration’s strategy had successfully addressed these challenges and curbed terrorism and economic woes.

President Buhari said, “Nigeria’s security and economy have improved significantly under my administration compared to 2015. Going forward, the situation in Nigeria will continue to improve.”

Former President Buhari also acknowledged the administrative challenges facing Nigeria and said that only those in positions of power truly understand these obstacles.

Prior to the former president’s remarks, Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Yusuf Ibrahim Jargaba, praised President Buhari’s efforts against terrorism, banditry, and other security challenges during his tenure.

Yusuf Ibrahim-Jargaba, also praised Buhari’s hard work, dedication, and selfless service, which he believes helped maintain the unity of the country.
