PhotoNews: Former President Obasanjo Visits Gov Aiyedatiwa
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the government house in Akure.
This visit is coming few days to the governorship election to be held on Saturday, 16th November, 2024 in the state in which Mr Aiyedatiwa is a key contestant.
Didactic Information Hut reports that Obasanjo who was in the State to commission the Ojaja Park, an estate developed by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi later paid a courtesy visit to the Governor in Akure.
In a post shared on the official X handle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, the Party said Obasanjo wished the governor a successful re-election.
“I understand the challenges of this period for you. I remember my campaign for the 1999 elections; I covered the entire six states of the South West in one day.
“I think we started in Akure, Ondo State here, then to Ekiti and we got to Lagos around 8pm. This is a crucial part of the process and I wish you all the best,” Obasanjo said.
But Obasanjo at an event recently had described himself as a “no-partisan statesman”.
