Eight Countries To Buy Fuel From Dangote Refinery

No fewer than eight countries are to lift fuel from Dangote Refinery. This is as more countries are being expected to signify interest in lifting fuel from the refinery in the coming months.
A source at Dangote Refinery who revealed this to The Punch listed the countries to include Ghana, Angola, Namibia, South Africa, Niger, Chad, Burkina Faso and Central African Republic.
Meanwhile, Dangote Refinery had recently raised the alarm that Marketers in Nigeria are bypassing its Petroleum products to import from abroad. Dangote Refinery accused the Marketers of having hidden agenda.
But the Marketers via their umbrella bodies, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria and the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria last week insisted on fuel importation after accusing the Dangote refinery of selling fuel to Nigerians at a high price.
The marketers disclosed that they are awaiting the approvals of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority to import cheaper petrol.
Didactic Information Hut reports the disappointment of Nigerians who had expected the availability and affordability of Petroleum products following the commencement of operations and production by the Dangote Refinery.
