Temporary Service Disruption as GTBank Migrates to New App

(GTBank) announced yesterday that the migration of its core banking application systems to a new system is imminent.

The migration to the new, robust Finacle suite of core banking application systems will begin on Friday, October 11, 2024, and is expected to be completed by Monday, October 14.

According to a notice issued by the bank, GTBank branches nationwide will close early to customers at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 11, and reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 14.

The financial institution announced that the bank’s digital banking services will be temporarily suspended for 11 hours from 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 to 9 a.m. on Monday, October 14.

During this period, the bank said its customers will be able to conduct limited transactions through the bank’s digital channels, such as money transfers, bill payments, and airtime/data purchases, but will not be able to use other services.

The bank said that the transition is part of its commitment to leveraging technology to bring meaningful improvements to the lives of its customers.
