Nigerian Correctional Service Ordered To Produce Bobrisky’s Prison CCTV Footage
The Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) has been ordered to provide CCTV footage of popular Cross dresser, Bobrisky’s prison stay.
This order was issued by Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, the Chairman of the House of Representatives joint committee investigating the N15 million bribery allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS).
A Deputy Controller General of NCS, Michael Benson in charge of the Medium Correctional Centre while speaking at the investigative hearing on Monday explained that Bobrisky’s transfer from the Medium Correctional Centre to Maximum Correctional Centre in Ikoyi after 10 days. But the committee queried the NCS if it was in their tradition to receive donations from inmates serving terms in their facility, to which they answered no.
Didactic Information Hut reports that the investigation began after a leaked audio recording revealed that Bobrisky paid N15 million to the EFCC to drop money laundering charges against him.
Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison for Naira abuse but allegedly didn’t serve his full sentence.
During the hearing, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, was present, along with representatives from the EFCC and NCS but, Bobrisky was noticeably absent.
During his presentation, VeryDarkMan said he stood by the claims in the earlier video recording regarding Bobrisky.
He also submitted some evidence including voice recording, chats, and bank transactions to the committee to support his allegations.
