109 Foreign Nationals Arrested Over ‘Cybercrime’ Granted N1bn Bail

109 foreign nationals detained on suspicion of money laundering and cybercrime have been granted N1 billion bail by the federal high court in Abuja.
The defendants with five sureties were granted bail by trial judge Ekerete Akpan on Friday.
According to Akpan, each of the sureties had to have acquired property valued at N200,000 million.


Additionally, the judge directed the sureties to give the deputy registrar of the court the original and authenticated documents pertaining to the landed property.


It is also anticipated that the sureties will present the court with their foreign passports.
He mandated that the defendants be placed under remand at the Keffi Correctional Center in Nasarawa State until their bail requirements were completed.

The matter was adjourned to February 27, 2025.
